The story of the movie revolves around a girl named Hanna, who is a fashion designer. She lives a life filled with anxiety, insecurity, and dissatisfaction with herself. She lives in constant fear, as Hanna fears her boss, the famous fashion designer Christian, as she always consults him and asks for his approval in everything.
Hanha is also afraid of having an intimate relationship with her boyfriend, Kaylan. When she is with him and near him, she experiences a feeling of fear, abdominal pain, and internal fantasies.
As for her friend, she has only one friend called Esther, who is a close friend of hers. Here she is experiencing a bout of stomach pain because her boss, Crystal, accused her of stealing his design and that the design she made was not her own.
Due to the complications that Hannah experienced during her last bout with her boss, Christian, she was admitted to the hospital, and the doctor stated that she has double DNA, and this indicates that she has vanishing twin syndrome, which is a chronic psychological illness.
After Hannah learned about this, she began to have many fantasies, as when she looked at her birthmark, she saw a monstrous creature coming out of her and mocking her.
She expelled him and he separated from her. So here she locks the monstrous creature inside the house and becomes terrified, not knowing whether what she sees is real or imaginary, or if she has lost her mind.
As the monster seeks to hypnotize Hannah in order to control her, he sows suspicions that her friend Kailyn is cheating on her with her friend Esther.
But Hannah soon discovers that there is a group of people who have the same syndrome that she suffers from, i.e. vanishing twin syndrome. During group sessions with patients, Hannah learns that these creatures she sees feed on the feelings of insecurity and the misery and fear that the person suffers from.
During the treatment sessions, Hanna gets to know Claudia and a group of people, and they talk about how to control these monsters by using some medications that make these monsters calm and controlled.
While Hannah is taking her medication, she controls her monster and keeps him locked inside the basement of the house, unable to control her, but at any moment she feels unsafe or afraid, the monster regains its strength and controls her again.
